my apologies

Hi all! First off, let me apologize for my extended absence. The moment I came back from my short trip to the White Mountains, I was immediately swept into a few weeks of sudden madness. I’ve been working double shifts for the past two or three weekends, and to be entirely honest, haven’t been going out to dinner that much. Plus with that heatwave that lasted five days, my days in the kitchen were numbered. This isn’t to say that I haven’t wanted to blog. Trust me, it’s been one thing that I’ve been dying to do, but I haven’t had much to say. So until I get a real post together I thought I’d leave you with some scans from McSweeney’s newest publication- David Chang’s Lucky Peach! It’s Vol. 1 Edition 1, and was given to me from a longtime friend, Johnny. i’ll be back.  i swear.  i’ve been absolutely swamped and honestly I haven’t been able to cook in such a long time.  good news though- i’m working at my favorite restaurant in the world.  come visit me during brunch.  also, lobster popovers and maple cotton candy atop brown sugar angel cake at towne stove and spirits in boston, best meal in a  very long time.

sorry i’ve been MIA.  exams are right around the bend, and to be honest, they’ve sent me into a mild panic.  don’t worry though! i’ll be posting new recipes this weekend- hanukkah inspired, and then two wonderful dinner featurettes (sun & mon) with a chocolate guinness cake, and perhaps some homemade gnocchi.  i have to develop some photos taken at post 390 in boston,and then a review will make its way up.  i just wanted to let you know that new material is on the way and that i’m alive…. but maybe not well?
